homeward bound

bonni is settling in, but its going to be a long road. we believe she was abused. she takes to me more than daniel and is deathly afraid of too much touching and leashes/collars. she has ear mites and a skin condition that calls for medications. the rescue shelter we went thru is (as it turns our) less than reputable. but she's ours now and never has to be in less than perfect conditions ever again. it will be a long road rebuilding her trust and getting her acclimated to people, but it will be worth it. for those of you who pray, i'm asking for a small prayer as often as you think of it. not for me or daniel or even lola, but for bonni's serenity. she needs all the prayers she can get (i'm asking st. francis for prayers as well). we probably wont have people over for a while, at least not in groups because we don't want to overload her. i'm hoping she shows us as much as we show her.
