I. Hellboy as a child. the kids acting was just plain bad. and besides, hellboy grew to full in a few years and had a young adolescent life but since he was found in 1944 and Howdy Doody didn't air until 1947 the movie is cutting it very close. and he was never hidden from the world in the first place. he is a funded government agent and often in the public eye.
II. Puppet battle was amazing hands down.
III. At the scene in the museum over the radio after and argument hb tells liz he's sorry and will tidy up when they get back. she says that's not what's wrong and refuses to tell him what is. at the close of this scene abe tells liz she's preg and she had no idea. so what was she going to tell him? we never find out. Vs. this should never have happened in the first place. (they would never touch in the comic, too much like brother and sister, he did schtoop one agent but it was not liz)
IV. well abe is just plain faggy around krauss.
V. Nuala brings up the us vs. them issue to hb and it is never closed or left open for interpretation, they just quit writing about it.
VI. hellboy is a natural MASTER of langages yet he has problems with "ganglion" and "indestructible".
VII. fuck the drunk scene. hb is a drinker (like hard core with pirate skeletons and all) but abe was just to silly.
VIII. when Nuala stabs hb, do we really think the B.P.R.D gonna let hb die?! he's their number one agent.
IX. liz is willing to sacrifice the fate of the world so her baby daddy will live to destroy is Vs. this should never have happened in the first place.
X. hb does leave the bureau but under much different circumstances.
